EXPANSION OF RURAL WATER COVERAGE TO COMMENCE SOON IN THE KEEA MUNICIPALITY

The Member of Parliament for KEEA Constituency has commenced the construction of a mechanized borehole at Tsekweikrom.
Hon. Samuel Atta Mills expressed his gratitude to residents for their support and collaboration since his assumption of duty. “The project will bring relief to residents as they will no longer travel far in search of potable drinking water for their household and business activities.”

Facilitating development in the constituency is very dear to him hence, the need to construct the mechanized borehole to facilitate the free flow of quality water and improve personal hygiene in the community.
The Member of Parliament again promised to ensure the frequent monitoring of the projects until it completion.

Hon. Samuel Atta Mills lauded the Chiefs, Assembly, and committee members, as well as residents for their support and efforts towards the project

He then called on the government to put in strenuous efforts to improve rural water supply so as to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Six by 2030. The Global goal six ensures the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all but the current water coverage, according to statistics from the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA), is around 65.7 percent.
