Feed us Azonto music in your albums and EPs – OB Amponsah to Ghanaian musicians

Ghanaian stand up comedian OB Amponsah has urged Ghanaian musicians to produce Azonto songs.

Narrating his personal experience at Joy Entertainment stand at Chalewote, he applauded the Dj for playing Ghanaian music and how the atmosphere changed when the Dj hit the Azonto genre.

According to him, the crowd loved it and that really spiced up the place.

“Everybody went mad crazy. From Kaalu to Lapaz Toyota to Alunguntugui. Even to the repented Yaw Siki. Obiaa ɛsa”.

He therefore urged musician to take up the cause to make Azonto a hit general again since every artiste has one hit songs.

“I know some of you will say Azonto is still being made, but we for revive am proper without all these unnecessary entitlements”.

Read his post below:

I was at the Joy Entertainment stand at Chalewote. The DJ playing at the time was Fantastic. Also, that’s actually his name, DJ Fantastic and Bro really lived up to it!

When he entered the Azonto Playlist inside, everybody went mad crazy. From Kaalu to Lapaz Toyota to Alunguntugui. Even to the repented Yaw Siki. Obiaa ɛsa.

And then I realized that during the Azonto era, everybody seemed to have at least one hit song which they could eat from. Seemed like a good era for musicians. I remember Macho rapper dems all emerging.

I know some of you will say Azonto is still being made, but we for revive am proper without all these unnecessary entitlements.

Everybody knows how to dance Azonto already. Amapiano dances be making us do our faces like Kaikai. Meanwhile we all look cool dancing to Kill me Shy.

Make them continue the Afrobeat den things, but them for feed we some one or two Azonto music in their albums and EPs.

Not too much to ask.
